I have owned a unit in here since 2006, each year the maintenance/association fees have increased, yet no improvements or maintenance is done on a regular basis. There is no project management . When they start one project, they never finish it. For example 3 years ago they started a painting project.. they painted the buildings in the front of the complex. all the wrong colors as they painted with the trim color, and they never got approval from Gentry on the colors. They have not finished the painting project and its been 3 years... we live in the back of the complex. They never keep the grass or weeds trimmed and we have to fight with the resident manager to get them to do their job. There is no real grass in the area. They cut down all the trees int he complex, so there is no shade and they haven't replanted the tress. this was done about three years ago as well. They started a repaving project over 5 years ago and stopped mid way, and now 2018 they want to re pave again.. I a sure only to not finish the project. The board of directors are embezzling money and we tried to vote them off the board, but they keep insisting on coming back when non of the residents want them on.. why would you want to stay on the board if no one wants you on? They are super suspicious. The resident manager Rico is a real prick.. he always argues with the owners, and blames the owners for him not doing jobs. No one likes him and wants him out too.. but why do they keep him? He is also in the scam with the Board..
Just before summer, they decided to cut down all the trees which eliminated shade for the bulk of the community and is actively leading to higher electric bills from running the AC. Management is pretty petty about most things, but the community is great to live in overall. There is a heavy roach infestation within all the buildings
We have a security gate in the back and front of the complex, but the back gate keeps breaking and they don'T fix it so our homes and cars are now at a greater risk of theft.
Our fees go up every year and they say it due to electrical costs-- yet they have PV panels in the office and pool area and they installed LED efficient lights in the complex.. so how are electric costs going up? They also say its because insurance premiums are rising.. then shop around for cheaper coverage!
